The Nowaskey M8 Softail Remote Reservoir Shock was designed for riders who demand more from their Harley-Davidson Softail. Whether you’re aggressively carving corners, riding long distances, or simply looking to eliminate the harsh and unstable feel of factory suspension, the Nowaskey reservoir shock delivers the control, comfort, and confidence serious riders expect.

Available in both 12.5” and 13.5” lengths, the Nowaskey reservoir shock dramatically improves handling, chassis stability, traction feel, and overall ride quality while giving riders a massive range of tuning capability through precision rebound and compression adjustment.

The 12.5” version maintains near-stock ride height while significantly improving suspension performance. The 13.5” version raises the motorcycle approximately 2 inches, increasing lean angle, cornering clearance, high-speed stability, and overall handling confidence.

Every Nowaskey shock is 100% machined and assembled in the USA and backed by a lifetime warranty.

Race-Inspired Remote Reservoir Technology

The Nowaskey remote reservoir system was engineered to maintain consistent damping performance under aggressive riding conditions by increasing oil capacity and improving heat dissipation.

Unlike traditional reservoir shocks that can make installation difficult on Softail models, the Nowaskey shock features premium Smith Titanium quick disconnect reservoir fittings originally developed for sprint cars and professional motorsports applications.

These precision-engineered titanium fittings allow the reservoir to quickly disconnect from the line, making it dramatically easier to route through the electrical components beneath the Softail seat during installation.

This innovative design simplifies installation while delivering the durability and performance expected from true race-inspired suspension components.

Each shock also includes a billet aluminum reservoir mount designed specifically for secure and clean installation on the motorcycle.

The Nowaskey M8 Softail Reservoir Shock offers a massive range of tuning capability for comfort, aggressive riding, touring, and passenger use.

  • 60-click rebound adjustment located at the bottom of the shock for precise wheel control and suspension response
  • 6-click compression adjustment located on the reservoir for tuning ride firmness, bottoming resistance, and chassis stability

Signature Cross-Hatched Nitride Shaft

At the core of the Nowaskey shock is our signature nitride-coated shaft featuring a precision cross-hatched finish similar to the cylinder wall finish used in high-performance engines.

This unique surface finish helps:

  • Reduce shaft stiction
  • Improve seal lubrication
  • Extend seal life
  • Promote smoother suspension movement
  • Reduce suspension bind under load

Engineered to Eliminate Shock Bind

The Nowaskey reservoir shock utilizes premium heim joints designed to properly articulate under side load conditions.

Unlike traditional mounting systems that can create unwanted suspension bind, the heim joint design allows the shock to move freely throughout suspension travel for improved wheel control, traction feel, and chassis stability.

Spring Rate Options

The Nowaskey M8 Softail Reservoir Shock is available in three spring rate options to properly match rider and passenger weight combinations.

  • 500 Spring Rate — Recommended for under 200 lb combined rider/passenger weight
  • 550 Spring Rate — Recommended for 200–270 lb combined rider/passenger weight
  • 600 Spring Rate — Recommended for 270–340 lb combined rider/passenger weight

Springs can easily be changed at home without specialty tools, allowing riders to adapt the suspension setup for passenger use, luggage, changing rider weights, or different riding styles.
